Stewart energy applied for an export license of 750 million tons of LNG

       On March 5, Canada Stewart Energy Group (Canada Stewart Energy Group Ltd) submit an application for gas exports to Canada's Energy committee, apply for exports are not more than 30 billion tons of LNG (equivalent to 1.475 trillion cubic feet) for 25 years a total of 750 million tons of LNG. This is the 14th LNG export licensing application received by the Canadian energy commission in recent years.

       LNG plant will be located in the project application said BC province northwest of Stewart (Stewart), in 2017 to complete an annual output of 5 million tons of floating liquefaction plant, the remaining 25 million tons of production capacity will be built by five liquefaction plant on land to complete, ultimately achieve output of 30 million tons/year. The natural gas for the project will be carried out by a joint venture between Stewart energy and a third party, about 800 kilometers of pipeline. LNG sales agreement has been signed with several energy groups in two major Chinese cities.

       According to local media reports, the chairman and CEO of Canada's Stewart energy group has been a private entrepreneur in China, gong jiarong. The two oil and gas companies established by Mr Gong in alberta have formed the Stewart energy group in Canada with the Chinese companies in vancouver. In an interview with Reuters, Mr Gong said the total investment would be as much as $30 billion. The challenge now comes mainly from the support of indigenous people in Canada.
