Petrochina and gazprom will strengthen the negotiation process for China

       On March 14, China website Gazprom, according to Russia's new said in a news release, the Russian gas company and China national petroleum corporation (CNPC) signed in Russian gas supply contracts in strengthening cooperation with China.

       It was reported at the end of February that gazprom and CNPC were scheduled to sign a contract for gas transmission to China through the eastern pipeline by the end of 2013. Russian deputy prime minister arkady, Debbie walker also had negotiation results in China, the basic conditions of the contract may be agreed upon before the end of march, while the terms of the contract obligations will be drafted in a few months.

       Gazprom and China have been in talks to supply 68 billion cubic meters of gas to China each year since 2004. The two sides are also considering building underground gas storage facilities in China, selling natural gas in China and working together to extract shale gas. Mr Miller pointed out in January that the west's supply of gas to China was only a matter of price.
